We are actively seeking a PRN-Receptionist to join our dedicated team of passionate caregivers. This role is integral to facilitating efficient communication within the hospital, acting as a vital link between patients, visitors, healthcare staff, and families. Given the fast-paced and sensitive nature of inpatient rehabilitation care, the Receptionist must demonstrate strong organizational skills, effective communication abilities, and a high degree of professionalism. By managing the hospital's telecommunication systems, including telephones, pagers, and computers, the Receptionist ensures smooth day-to-day operations, supporting staff in providing seamless care to patients.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of reception experience in a healthcare setting preferred
  • Demonstrates computer proficiency including data entry, word processing, and email
  • Strong organizational and time management capabilities
  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and quality standards
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Job Qualifications

  • One year of reception experience in a healthcare setting preferred
  • Demonstrates general computer skills including data entry, word processing, email, and record management
  • Effective organizational and time management skills

Job Duties

  • Provide hospital telecommunication services using telephones, pagers, the paging system, radio, or computer to connect communication between visitors, callers, staff, patients, and patients' families
  • Maintain records related to telecommunications such as long distance phone calls, on-call employees, pages
  • Integrate the hospital’s mission and guiding principles into daily practice
  • Manage data entry, word processing, email, and record management related to front desk operations
  • Coordinate with healthcare staff to support patient and visitor inquiries
  • Ensure confidentiality and privacy of patient and hospital information
  • Assist in organizing administrative tasks to support effective hospital operations
