Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a healthcare or long-term care facility preferred
- Basic computer skills and ability to operate office equipment
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a team-oriented environment
- Patience and empathy towards elderly and disabled residents
- Compliance with facility policies, including Residents' Rights
- Capability to perform physically demanding tasks as outlined by the facility
- Authorization to work in the relevant region
- Willingness to undergo background checks and health screenings as required
Job Qualifications
- Organized and detailed in work performance
- Good communication skills with excellent self-discipline and patience
- Genuine caring for and interest in elderly and disabled people in a nursing facility
- Comply with the Residents' Rights and Facility Policies and Procedures
- Ability to perform assigned duties within physical demand requirements
- Willingness to attend in-service education programs to stay compliant with facility requirements
- Experience with administrative tasks such as typing, filing, and operating office machines
- Competency in operating switchboard and paging systems
- Knowledge of confidentiality standards and ability to maintain privacy
- Familiarity with safety protocols and emergency procedures
Job Duties
- Operate paging/telephone system as required
- Answer telephone
- determine nature of call and direct caller to appropriate individual or department
- Receive inquiries and release information in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Deal with Patient Trust Fund, as directed by Business Office Manager
- Greet visitors
- direct to appropriate office and/or resident room
- Give directions/information to visitors, guests, residents, sales representatives, etc.
- Assist with administrative duties as directed (includes typing, filing, posting accounts, etc.)
- Receive, sort, and distribute mail as directed
- Operate copier, office machines, etc., as directed
- Operate computer as directed
- Order supplies, as directed
- Assist department directors in administrative matters (i.e. typing reports, correspondence, etc.)
- Attend in-service education programs to meet facility educational requirements
- Be familiar with Standard Precautions, Exposure Control Plan, Fire Drill and Evacuation Procedures and know how to use the information
- Maintain confidentiality of resident and facility records/information
- Protect residents from neglect, mistreatment, and abuse
- Protect the personal property of the residents of the facility
- Others as directed by the supervisor or administrator
