The receptionist role at Peak Vista’s Pediatric Walk-in Clinic located at 2828 International Circle, Suite 160, Colorado Springs, CO, is a critical frontline position responsible for establishing a positive first impression for all visitors. This role operates Monday through Saturday on rotating 12-hour shifts, totaling 36 hours per week, reflecting a commitment to flexible healthcare service delivery. The hourly pay for this position ranges from $16.00 to $23.20, based on experience, offering competitive compensation within the healthcare industry.

As the face of Peak Vista to patients and visitors, the receptionist performs essential administrative tasks that ensure smooth clinic operations and enhance patient satisfaction. Responsibilities include scheduling appointments, performing patient intake, handling cash transactions, managing telephone calls, and providing directional guidance within the clinic. The position requires maintaining constant coverage at the front counter, supporting nearby clinics as needed, and frequently traveling within and outside of the Colorado Springs area. The role emphasizes the importance of communication, as receptionists are tasked with advising patients of provider delays, monitoring appointment statuses every 15 minutes, and ensuring patients are well-informed throughout their visit.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • two years customer service experience preferred
  • ability to frequently travel inside and outside of the Colorado Springs area
  • must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
  • completion of pre-employment screening including criminal background check

Job Duties

  • Schedules appointments
  • performs the necessary intake functions for arriving patients
  • answers questions, cash handling, direction of telephone calls and other patient service duties
  • upon arrival, advise patients if provider is delayed
  • informs patient every 15 minutes of appointment status
  • ensures that coverage and presence is always maintained at the front counter, may travel to nearby clinics to assist with coverage or training
