The Receptionist position at Gulfport Behavioral Health System is a vital role that ensures smooth communication and operational efficiency within the hospital. As the first point of contact for visitors and callers, the Receptionist plays a critical role in fostering a welcoming atmosphere. This part-time position—benefit eligible at 30 hours per week—operates Monday through Friday from 4:30 pm to 10:30 pm, providing essential support during after-hours shifts. The Receptionist is responsible for greeting and assisting hospital visitors, answering a multi-line telephone switchboard, documenting incoming deliveries, processing mail, and providing miscellaneous clerical assistance as needed. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum two years experience on a multi-line telephone switchboard
- prior experience in a healthcare or hospital setting preferred
- ability to work Monday-Friday from 4:30 pm to 10:30 pm
- strong customer service orientation
- effective organizational skills
- attention to detail
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- two years experience on a multi-line telephone switchboard preferably in a healthcare environment
- any combination of education, training, or experience in a hospital environment
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- proficiency with basic office equipment and software
