Catering to diverse populations including children, adolescents, adults, and military personnel, this institution emphasizes compassionate and specialized care tailored to mental health needs. This facility is part of UHS, one of the largest and most respected providers of hospital and healthcare services in the United States, recognized not only for its extensive network but also for its commitment to quality and patient care. UHS is a Fortune 500 corporation with a robust presence nationwide, including acute care hospitals, behavioral health facilities, outpatient services, and more.
The role of the Receptionist at Gulfport Behavioral Health System is integral to ensuring smooth and welcoming operations at the hospital’s front desk. This part-time, benefit-eligible position (30 hours per week) operates Monday through Friday from 4:30 pm to 10:30 pm, offering an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to contribute meaningfully to a healthcare environment focused on behavioral health. In this role, the Receptionist serves as the first point of contact, greeting and assisting visitors, managing the multi-line telephone switchboard effectively, and maintaining accurate documentation of incoming deliveries and mail. Additionally, this position supports various clerical functions, contributing to the overall administrative efficiency of the hospital.
Part of the Receptionist’s responsibilities may also include preparing financial deposits and monthly statements for mailing, underscoring the importance of attention to detail and organizational skills. During after-hours shifts, the Receptionist may support patient care operations by assisting with processing new admissions paperwork, further emphasizing the collaborative nature of this role within the healthcare team. This position offers a chance to engage directly with patients, families, and healthcare professionals, embodying the institution’s patient-first philosophy.
Employees at Gulfport Behavioral Health System and UHS consistently value the supportive work culture that prioritizes patient care, collaborative teamwork, and leadership that is responsive to staff needs. The organization fosters an environment ripe for professional growth, offering extensive continuing education options and pathways for skill development and career advancement within the vast UHS network. This supportive and rewarding environment, combined with competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits, makes the Receptionist position a compelling opportunity for candidates eager to contribute to behavioral health care and develop their administrative skills within a respected healthcare provider.
