Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • basic life support (BLS) certification
  • one year relevant experience preferred
  • ability to manage multi-line phone systems
  • strong interpersonal skills
  • availability for evening, night, and every other weekend shifts
  • organizational skills
  • ability to interact professionally with patients, visitors, and staff

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • one year experience with multi-line phone system preferred
  • basic life support (BLS) certification required
  • crisis prevention intervention (CPI) preferred
  • customer service skills
  • effective communication
  • organizational skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • professionalism and teamwork

Job Duties

  • Appropriately answers and responds to incoming telephone calls in a courteous and customer-friendly manner
  • provides requested information or direction to callers
  • manages and routes incoming mail and carrier deliverables
  • greets and responds to visitors in a customer-friendly manner
  • manages visitors sign-in and gives visitors badges
  • directs and assists visitors and patients to the correct location or staff members as appropriate
  • manages patient items brought in by visitors
  • maintains documentation related to Needs Assessment and referral calls
  • provides clerical support to hospital as needed and assigned by department head
  • performs other duties as assigned or required by this position
