Job Description

Brookdale is a nationally recognized leader in senior living and care services, proudly noted by Newsweek in 2024 and 2025 as one of America's Greatest Workplaces for Diversity. With 589 communities across the country as of late 2025, Brookdale has built its reputation on gracious hospitality, neighborliness, and a commitment to providing home-like comfort to its residents and visiting families. The company emphasizes a warm and welcoming environment where residents feel a true sense of connection through entertaining events and individualized attention. Beyond offering an industry-leading level of clinical care, Brookdale fosters a culture of growth and development for its employees through robust training programs and extensive corporate support.

Joining Brookdale means becoming part of a team that genuinely strives to make lives better, including the lives of its associates. They offer both part-time and full-time employment opportunities with competitive base pay determined by the applicant's skills and experience. Employees enjoy a comprehensive suite of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement plans, and wellness programs tailored for overall health. The environment encourages professional development and provides ongoing support, such as tuition reimbursement, adoption benefits, and flexible spending accounts. Brookdale is especially supportive of veterans, transitioning military personnel, and military spouses, offering paths to citizenship assistance and other dedicated programs.

The Receptionist role at Brookdale is critical to creating the first impression for visitors, residents, and staff. As the welcoming face of the community, the Receptionist is responsible for greeting all visitors, answering questions, ensuring visitor log documentation, and directing phone calls appropriately. This role includes sorting and handling mail, performing basic office clerical duties, and maintaining visitor logs. Additionally, Receptionists are trained to respond to resident emergencies by contacting the correct internal or external resources in line with community protocols. This position allows associates to engage with residents and families directly, contributing to the community’s supportive atmosphere and allowing for meaningful human connection in a structured and rewarding setting.

By working as a Receptionist at Brookdale, individuals have the opportunity to work in a vibrant, caring environment where they can become their best selves. The company values diversity, inclusion, and providing a balanced work-life experience. Associates can access early wages, employee discounts, referral programs, and a range of voluntary benefits such as ID theft protection and pet insurance. Full-time employees receive additional benefits like paid time off, company-provided life insurance, disability coverage, optional insurance plans, and more. Temporary associates can participate in the company’s 401(k) program. Brookdale also prides itself on being a drug-free and equal opportunity employer, making it a safe and fair place to build a career in senior living administration and customer service. Potential candidates are encouraged to apply promptly, as the application window typically closes within 30 days from the posting date.
