Based in Gulfport, this establishment is committed to the values of pride, passion, and commitment, ensuring that every member of its staff brings energy, heart, and hustle to their roles.
As part of its ongoing commitment to quality patient care and community health, Singing River Health System is currently seeking a Receptionist for its Gulfport Hospital location. This role is designed for individuals who are eager to support patient care through efficient and professional administrative assistance. The position operates on a full-time schedule from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, offering a stable and structured work environment. The ideal candidate will be integral in welcoming and assisting patients and visitors, managing telephone communications, and organizing appointments, all while facilitating seamless operations within the hospital setting.
The Receptionist plays a critical frontline role within the hospital, as they are the first point of contact for patients and visitors, setting the tone for the patient experience. This role demands excellent organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and a high level of professionalism. The Receptionist must be capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously, demonstrating both attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure. Given the healthcare setting, the role also requires a compassionate and respectful demeanor, particularly when dealing with a diverse patient population.
The position carries important physical and mental demands, including active movement throughout the facility, exposure to potential health hazards consistent with a hospital environment, and the use of computer and communication technologies. Candidates must possess keen mental faculties, superior communication skills, and emotional stability to navigate high-stress situations effectively. Additionally, proficiency in basic office software and technology is required, as well as the completion of de-escalation training within the initial orientation period.
Singing River Health System values teamwork, professionalism, and a patient-focused attitude, providing a workplace where employees can find purpose and contribute meaningfully to community welfare. This Receptionist role offers a unique opportunity to join a respected healthcare system, play a vital part in patient care coordination, and grow within a supportive and dynamic environment. Candidates passionate about healthcare and dedicated to making a difference in the lives of others will find this position both challenging and rewarding.
