Singing River Health System is a reputable healthcare organization dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and promoting health improvement within the community. Known for its unwavering commitment to saving lives and supporting both patients and healthcare professionals, Singing River Health System goes beyond just a job; it embodies a culture where caring is integral to everything they do. The health system supports a dynamic environment enriched with passion, pride, and dedication to making a measurable difference in the health and wellbeing of the community it serves. With facilities such as the Singing River Gulfport Hospital, it stands as a pillar of healthcare services, offering a variety of roles that contribute to patient-centered care and operational excellence. Singing River Health System is committed to nurturing teamwork, professional development, and employee engagement, fostering an inclusive atmosphere where collaboration and respect thrive among all members of the organization.

The Receptionist position at Singing River Gulfport Hospital plays a vital frontline role in facilitating patient care by serving as the initial point of contact for patients and visitors. This role carries significant responsibility in managing front-desk operations including receiving guests, answering telephone inquiries, and organizing appointments efficiently and accurately. Working Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, the Receptionist is expected to perform these duties with professionalism, empathy, and excellent organizational skills, helping to ensure smooth communication between patients, healthcare providers, and administrative staff.

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent as a minimum educational requirement, with preference for candidates who have clerical or secretarial experience in healthcare settings. The Receptionist must also complete de-escalation training during the initial 90 days of orientation, equipping the individual with essential skills to handle sensitive or challenging interactions with composure and tact. The role demands physical stamina to remain active throughout the workday, navigating within the facility and sometimes across service areas, while also sustaining focus during computer and administrative tasks that involve repetitive wrist and finger movements.

Mental acuity is paramount as the Receptionist must demonstrate superior communication abilities, both verbal and written, and maintain emotional stability to manage high-pressure situations and multiple tasks simultaneously. The ability to provide exceptional customer service and uphold professional etiquette is crucial, along with proficiency in computer use, including MS Outlook and Word, as well as office technologies such as telephone and fax systems. The Receptionist's skill set extends beyond clerical duties, requiring sound clinical judgment appropriate for engaging with patients from diverse age groups.

Joining the Singing River Health System means becoming part of a community focused on making significant positive impacts through healthcare. The Receptionist role is ideal for individuals seeking purpose and a collaborative team-oriented environment where their contributions directly affect patient experiences and organizational success. If you are eager to embrace a meaningful career that balances technical skills with compassionate interaction and professional growth, Singing River Health System invites you to apply and join their dedicated team.
