The Receptionist / Operations Assistant role at Aurex is a fundamental position serving as the welcoming face and voice of the company’s headquarters in Huntsville. This role is vital in establishing a positive and professional first impression for visitors, callers, and external partners who interact with the company. The Receptionist / Operations Assistant manages front desk operations and ensures compliance with established visitor management and security protocols enhancing company safety standards. Beyond greeting guests and handling calls, this role supports daily operational activities by coordinating mail distribution, managing shipments, maintaining a clean and hospitable front office environment, and assisting security teams with administrative support. - 2+ years of experience in a professional office or security-sensitive environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain professionalism and composure in a front-facing role
- Ability to follow established procedures and escalate issues appropriately

Job Duties
- Greet and check in all visitors in a professional and courteous manner
- Verify visitor information, issue visitor badges, and maintain accurate visitor logs
- Ensure visitors remain in the lobby until met and escorted by authorized personnel
- Communicate visitor arrivals promptly to internal staff
- Serve as the primary point of contact for incoming external calls to headquarters
- Answer, screen, and route calls accurately and professionally
- Provide general information and direct inquiries to the appropriate departments or personnel
- Receive, organize, and distribute incoming mail to designated recipients
- Coordinate outbound shipping services for headquarters operation staff
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk and lobby environment
- Assist the security team with administrative tasks such as updating logs, coordinating badge-related activities, and supporting day-to-day operations
- Perform miscellaneous office support tasks such as stocking the company breakroom and inventorying office supplies
- Follow established security procedures related to visitor access and escort requirements
- Serve as a communication point during emergencies, evacuations, or other facility incidents following established protocols
