Job Description

CommCare Corporation is a well-established and forward-thinking leader in the healthcare industry, specializing in retirement living, skilled nursing, and hospice care across the states of Louisiana and Mississippi. Known for its dedication to providing compassionate and high-quality care, CommCare Corporation has built a strong reputation as a reliable healthcare provider, committed to enhancing the lives of its residents through expert clinical services and holistic support. The organization prides itself on fostering a culture driven by creativity, expertise, and a sincere passion for caregiving, making it a preferred employer for professionals who share these core values and are motivated to make a real difference in the lives of seniors and patients requiring specialized care.

The position of Receptionist at Old Brownlee Community Care Center, a vital part of the CommCare family, offers an exciting opportunity for an individual to join a collaborative healthcare team dedicated to delivering exceptional services to residents. As a receptionist, the successful candidate will play an essential role in ensuring residents receive the highest level of care and logistical support necessary for their appointments and daily activities. This role requires interacting with residents, visitors, and staff, managing appointment calendars, coordinating transportation for residents, and handling clerical duties to support nursing staff effectively.

In this role, the receptionist will be the friendly and professional face at the front desk, monitoring the front door to greet and assist residents and visitors, answering facility telephone calls with excellent etiquette, and maintaining organized clerical supplies at the Nurses' Station. The receptionist is also responsible for preparing all necessary documentation, including current physicians' orders, progress sheets, and insurance cards, that residents need for their appointments, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for residents and caregivers alike.

This is a fantastic position for someone who is organized, resourceful, and customer-focused with strong communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. The receptionist will report to the Director of Nursing, Charge Nurse, or Administrator and will be expected to fulfill any additional duties assigned by these leaders, making the role dynamic and integral to the overall functioning of the facility.

Overall, this employment opportunity at CommCare Corporation not only promises a rewarding career in a supportive environment but also the chance to contribute meaningfully to a community-centric healthcare system. The ideal candidate will thrive in a healthcare setting, valuing teamwork, empathy, and patient-centered service while demonstrating a high level of professionalism and efficiency in all responsibilities.
