Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years experience in public or customer service
  • Excellent computer skills including email and MS Word
  • Efficient typing skills
  • Experience using multi-line phone systems

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years experience in dealing with public or customer service
  • Excellent computer skills including email and MS Word
  • Efficient typing skills
  • Experience using multi-line phone systems
  • Associates Degree preferred
  • Experience using Paragon or other EMR software preferred

Job Duties

  • Assist all guests in a caring, courteous and efficient manner
  • Accurately direct all guests seeking assistance to their destination in a timely and efficient manner
  • Escort guests to points of destination whenever possible
  • Obtain wheelchairs for guests in need and ensure they are escorted to the appropriate destination
  • Call Patient Assistance Liaison for assistance when needed
  • Answer phone calls transferred to the front desk
  • Escort guests to their destination or call for an interpreter when language barriers prevent understanding
  • Notify Security immediately when visitors are not authorized or pose a threat
  • Provide a physical description of unauthorized visitors and their destination to Security
  • Maintain a courteous and pleasant attitude toward patients, families, guests, and hospital personnel
  • Handle requests for non-confidential patient information, room and telephone numbers, forwarding calls as needed
  • Communicate issues, barriers, and relevant information effectively to the supervisor
  • Show ability to prioritize, delegate, and resolve issues using critical thinking
  • Complete other tasks as assigned
