Job Description
The Wellness Center is a dedicated facility focused on providing holistic health services that combine both fitness and medical expertise to enhance the well-being of its community members. This center offers specialized services in martial arts, particularly Jiu Jitsu, alongside supportive healthcare services aimed at fostering physical health and recovery. Established as a premier location for fitness enthusiasts and patients alike, the Wellness Center stands out by integrating wellness and medical care in one cohesive environment. Their approach ensures that each individual experiences a comprehensive suite of services in a friendly, organized, and professional setting. The center prides itself on maintaining a premium atmosphere where cleanliness, organization, and customer service excellence are prioritized to ensure every visitor feels welcome and valued.
The role of Receptionist - Jiu Jitsu at the Wellness Center is integral to the smooth operation and success of the facility. The receptionist acts as the first point of contact for students, patients, and visitors, providing essential administrative and clerical support that keeps the wellness center running efficiently. This full-time position requires an individual who is highly organized, personable, and adept at multitasking within a dynamic environment that balances the demands of fitness and healthcare services. Responsibilities include managing inquiries, scheduling appointments for classes and private sessions, verifying patient and student information, and maintaining accurate and confidential records in compliance with HIPAA and other relevant regulations. The receptionist is also responsible for processing payments, coordinating communication between staff and clients, and ensuring the clinic and studio areas are clean and meet hygiene standards.
Additionally, the receptionist will support daily operational tasks such as opening and closing procedures, and will assist in community outreach efforts linked to the Wellness Center. This involves participating in local events to promote the center's services and contributing to a positive and safe environment for all patrons. The position demands a high level of professionalism, discretion, and empathy, particularly when handling sensitive medical or personal information. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills, proficiency with scheduling software and electronic medical record systems (ECW preferred), and the ability to maintain calm under pressure. While an interest in martial arts or fitness is beneficial, it is not a requirement, highlighting the center's commitment to inclusivity and diversity in their staffing. The Receptionist - Jiu Jitsu position offers the opportunity to be part of a vibrant community-focused health and fitness center, supporting a meaningful mission to improve lives through well-rounded care and sport.
