Job Description
Casa de las Campanas is a premier senior living community located in the scenic area of Rancho Bernardo, California. Renowned for its upscale resort-style environment, the community offers a unique blend of exceptional hospitality, all-inclusive lifestyle, and breathtaking natural surroundings that appeal to a vibrant and well-traveled senior population. Residents enjoy an active social life, including communal meals, outdoor activities like exploring nearby trails, and the beauty of southern California’s landscape. This commitment to quality of life and well-being is at the heart of Casa de las Campanas' mission to enhance the lives of seniors every day through compassionate care and thoughtfully designed living spaces. The community fosters an engaging and supportive atmosphere that deeply reflects the love and appreciation residents have for their home and fellow community members.
The role of Receptionist at Casa de las Campanas is a vital position that serves as the welcoming voice and face of the community. This full-time position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $18.00 to $20.00, with additional shift differentials for evening, overnight, and weekend shifts, making it an attractive opportunity for professionals seeking steady employment in senior living. The Receptionist serves not only as the initial point of contact for residents, visitors, and staff but also plays an important role in maintaining the smooth operation of daily activities within the Sur and Norte lobbies of the facility. The position involves answering and directing phone calls, greeting guests warmly, monitoring emergency systems for safety concerns, and performing various administrative duties to support residents and staff alike.
Beyond the basic front desk responsibilities, this role demands exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to ensure that all interactions are courteous, professional, and helpful. The Receptionist is also entrusted with managing security duties such as monitoring lobby areas and responding quickly and appropriately to emergency announcements. Administrative tasks include processing mail and packages, maintaining accurate records of visitors, handling resident prescriptions, and assisting residents with dining reservations. By delivering a consistent and friendly presence, the Receptionist helps create a welcoming and secure environment that aligns with the community’s values.
Employees at Casa de las Campanas benefit from a comprehensive rewards package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance with no employee cost share for medical plans. Additional perks such as a $5,000 education scholarship, a tuition reimbursement program, employee appreciation bonuses funded by residents, and daily pay options contribute to a supportive work environment. Staff also have access to life insurance, a 403(b) retirement plan with employer matching, paid time off, pet insurance, AFLAC coverage, long-term disability insurance, and engaging monthly employee activities that enrich the workplace culture. The facility is committed to fostering a fun and engaging atmosphere where employees feel valued and motivated to contribute to the community’s success.
This position requires candidates to have a high school diploma and at least two years of customer service experience in roles such as concierge or front desk positions. Experience with PBX phone systems is preferred but not mandatory. The ability to communicate clearly and professionally both in person and over the phone is essential. Additionally, candidates must be able to pass background checks including fitness for duty physical, fingerprinting, and employment references as mandated by licensing requirements for residential care facilities. If you are passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and want to be part of a dynamic senior living community that values its employees and residents alike, Casa de las Campanas invites you to apply for the Receptionist position today.
