The Receptionist will be responsible for assisting patients both in person and over the phone, managing appointment scheduling, verifying insurance coverage, processing payments including copays, and maintaining accurate patient records. Job Duties
- Provide superior patient care services treating all patients and guests with compassion and respect
- Greet all patients and guests with a smile and helpful manner
- Communicate effectively with patients guests colleagues and physicians
- Provide patients with necessary instructions or directions
- Process patient documentation and update patient demographics with accuracy
- Triage incoming calls promptly and pleasantly review phone messages return calls timely or direct messages appropriately
- Verify insurance and determine prior authorizations or referrals required for upcoming appointments
- Close-out daily batches promptly and accurately
- Maintain a clean and organized waiting room and work area
- Travel to surrounding HEA offices to provide front desk coverage as needed
- Adhere to HEA policies and procedures uphold ethical principles and patient confidentiality complying with all state and federal regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned based on business operational needs
