  • Two years medical office experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in using office equipment and software
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with healthcare regulations

Job Duties

  • Provide superior patient care services treating all patients and guests with compassion and respect
  • Greet all patients and guests with a smile and helpful manner
  • Communicate effectively with patients guests colleagues and physicians
  • Provide patients with necessary instructions or directions
  • Process patient documentation and update patient demographics with accuracy
  • Triage incoming calls promptly and pleasantly review phone messages return calls timely or direct messages appropriately
  • Verify insurance and determine prior authorizations or referrals required for upcoming appointments
  • Close-out daily batches promptly and accurately
  • Maintain a clean and organized waiting room and work area
  • Travel to surrounding HEA offices to provide front desk coverage as needed
  • Adhere to HEA policies and procedures uphold ethical principles and patient confidentiality complying with all state and federal regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on business operational needs
