Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to travel to rural and metro clinic locations
  • One year work experience in medical front office setting preferred
  • One year experience with multi-line phone system preferred
  • Ability to maintain quality control standards
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to various front office roles as needed

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
  • Skill in developing and maintaining department quality assurance
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public

Job Duties

  • Float to clinic locations to fill in front office positions including operator, scheduler, check-in, check-out, clinic receptionist, medical secretary, and medical records
  • Greet patients and visitors promptly and courteously
  • Screen visitors and vendors and direct them to appropriate personnel
  • Check-in patients including copying insurance cards and verifying demographic and billing information
  • Assist in answering multi-line telephone system and efficiently screen and route calls
  • Schedule patient appointments for physician office visits and diagnostic testing using EPIC system
  • Maintain work area and lobby in a neat and orderly manner
