Job Description

Peak Vista Community Health Centers is a well-established nonprofit health care organization dedicated to providing exceptional and accessible health care services to individuals facing various barriers to access. The organization operates with a strong commitment to community wellness, serving over 74,300 patients annually throughout the Pikes Peak and East Central regions of Colorado. With a network of 20 outpatient health centers strategically located across 14 counties, including Colorado Springs, Fountain, Divide, Limon, and Strasburg, Peak Vista is a vital resource for integrated health care services in the region. These services include medical, dental, and behavioral health programs, all designed to meet diverse health needs under one comprehensive care model.

The organization emphasizes a culture of hospitality and compassionate care, supported by its dedicated team of over 800 employees who collectively strive to uphold the mission, vision, and core values that define Peak Vista’s approach to health care delivery. Accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC), Peak Vista prioritizes quality, safety, and patient-centered care at every touchpoint.

The Receptionist role at Peak Vista Community Health Centers serves as the crucial first point of contact for patients and visitors, embodying the organization’s commitment to excellent customer service. This position requires a professional who can manage a variety of front desk duties that support the smooth operation of the health centers. Receptionists are responsible for scheduling appointments, performing patient intake, handling inquiries, managing cash transactions, directing phone calls, and providing real-time appointment status updates to patients. The role demands maintaining a consistent and welcoming presence at the front counter to ensure patients receive timely and accurate information, including advising them of any provider delays.

Receptionists are assigned primarily to one clinic but must also be willing to travel occasionally to other locations within and outside the Colorado Springs area for coverage or training purposes. This flexibility aids in maintaining continuity of service across all Peak Vista facilities. Employees in this role contribute to fostering good interpersonal relationships within the organization, which includes collaboration with various departments, management, staff, and leadership teams.

The position also highlights Peak Vista’s focus on cultural diversity, ethical standards, compliance, and performance improvement. Receptionists are expected to uphold these principles by safeguarding human, financial, material, and informational resources entrusted to them. They are encouraged to participate actively in ongoing departmental efforts to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and overall quality of care. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to be part of a mission-driven health care organization that values integrity, respect, and the well-being of the community.

The compensation for this position ranges from $16.00 to $23.20 per hour, based on experience. Employment benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability coverage, a 403(b) retirement plan with company match, paid time off, tuition assistance, perks rewards, and an employee assistance program. Peak Vista Community Health Centers is an Equal Opportunity Employer and maintains a drug and alcohol-free workplace environment. Successful applicants will undergo pre-employment screening, including a criminal background check, and participate in the Electronic Employment Verification Program (E-Verify).
