As the receptionist, you will be a pivotal part of the Business Office, responsible for managing multi-line telephone systems, welcoming visitors, processing payments, and supporting various administrative functions. Your contribution supports day-to-day operations and helps maintain a secure and welcoming environment at the school. This role demands exceptional customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced educational setting. Knowledge and proficiency with Google Suite or similar software is essential for tasks involving communication, scheduling, and documentation. Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Operate multi-line telephone system answering and forwarding calls
  • retrieve and forward messages from voicemail
  • take and deliver messages or transfer calls when personnel are unavailable
  • answer questions about the school and provide information
  • welcome onsite visitors and announce them to appropriate personnel
  • process visitors and vendors through the visitor management system and issue passes
  • receive queries from caregivers and the public
  • receive, sort, and route mail
  • process credit card payments
  • deposit checks electronically and update payment logs
  • provide general administrative and clerical support
  • monitor and maintain office supplies
  • maintain postage machine and order postage and supplies
  • perform other duties as assigned
