The position available is primarily clerical support within the community operations, where the successful candidate will perform a range of duties focused on administrative assistance, resident service, and community engagement. This role involves answering telephones, greeting guests, and responding to the needs of residents promptly and thoughtfully. The candidate will assist with planning and implementing activities and services that enhance residents’ daily experiences while maintaining organization in office functions and communication flow.
Additional responsibilities include handling financial transactions such as rent and service fee collection, managing guest room reservations, and supporting the staff in various capacities to ensure smooth community operations. Assisting with dining room duties, helping lifestyle teams with resident activities, and maintaining cleanliness of common areas are also key aspects of this role. The position demands excellent organizational skills, customer service aptitude, and discretion, especially in maintaining confidentiality regarding resident and community information.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent desirable
- Perform mathematical calculations accurately and at a 12th grade level
- Proficiency in keyboard and data entry skills and ability to use ten-key calculator (preferably by touch)
- Reading, comprehension and writing ability at 12th grade level or higher
Job Qualifications
- Knowledge of and ability to operate and maintain equipment: FAX machine, calculator, photocopier, telephone, computer, and printer
- Repetitive motion with use of computer and typing
- Promote teamwork in providing services to residents
- Extended sitting for up to 2-3 hours
- Knowledge of or willingness and ability to learn computer programs used in this community
- Excellent customer service skills

Job Duties
- Organize office functions and flow of communication
- Edit written documents to ensure correct spelling and grammar
- Maintain office supplies and identify needed supplies to supervisor
- Collect all rent and service fees by designated date and ensure deposit in bank, as specified by supervisor
- Maintain reservations for guest room
- Assist staff in providing and coordinating services to residents, families, prospects, and guests
- Answer telephones and respond to residents’ requests
- Assist with resident activities, as requested
- Assist in dining room, as needed
- Report on-the-job injuries to the supervisor before the end of the work shift on the day the injury occurs
- Maintain confidentiality of verbal and written information pertaining to resident, community operations and personnel
- Ensure a safe and secure living environment for community residents
- Make periodic rounds throughout the shift, checking doors, and inside and outside of the building
- Respond to emergency call system and contact outside emergency help if needed
- Answers incoming calls and provide exceptional customer service
- Deliver newspapers to resident apartments or mailboxes
- Assist lifestyle team with resident activities
- Clean common areas, public bathrooms, windows, floors, and light fixtures as assigned
- Empty trash in all the common areas including the office, kitchen, and resident trash rooms
- Assist in the kitchen with serving meals, washing dishes and other duties, as assigned
- Ensure that storage and housekeeping areas are kept clean and orderly
- Should an emergency evacuation arise, assist with leading residents to safe areas
- Other duties as assigned
