Job Description
Kennybrook is an innovative, beautiful, 5-star, boutique-style senior living community dedicated to enriching the lives of its residents through purpose, passion, and joy in life. Our community offers several levels of living including independent living, assisted living, short-term rehab, and long-term care, making Kennybrook a comprehensive choice for seniors who seek quality and comfort in their living arrangements. Located in Grimes, Iowa, Kennybrook is part of a respected family of retirement communities spanning various cities such as Overland Park, Lenexa, Gladstone, Lee's Summit, Altoona, Marion, West Des Moines, and Ames. As a community, we are deeply committed not only to providing exceptional care to our residents but also to fostering a supportive and enriching environment for our team members.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Temporary Concierge - Receptionist position transitioning to PRN (as-needed) status. This role is integral as the first point of contact for all visitors including residents, families, vendors, and team members. The position is temporary for August and September with the potential to extend based on business needs and will transition to an as-needed role thereafter. Scheduled hours include Monday and Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and weekends from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This makes it ideal for someone looking for part-time work or seeking to complement other responsibilities with shifts at Kennybrook.
The Temporary Concierge - Receptionist plays a vital role in creating a welcoming, professional, and positive atmosphere within the community. Duties include greeting and assisting individuals with enthusiasm and care, answering and directing phone calls promptly and courteously, and providing exceptional customer service that reflects our culture of care. The ideal candidate will bring a warm and friendly demeanor combined with strong communication, organizational, and multitasking capabilities. This role demands dependability, attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and a passion for fostering positive relationships within a collaborative team environment.
At Kennybrook, we are more than just a community; we are a family dedicated to making every day meaningful for our residents and rewarding for our employees. Our commitment to employee wellbeing is reflected in a comprehensive benefits package that supports health, happiness, and personal growth. We value our team members and encourage everyone who is passionate about making a positive difference in senior living to join us.
