Offering an hourly pay range of $23 to $25, the receptionist will play a pivotal role in supporting management with a variety of administrative tasks including scheduling, travel arrangements, and routine correspondence. The job extends to coordinating work and plans within the department, providing backup administrative support, and ensuring continuous training for staff. Additionally, the receptionist assists in contract preparation and maintenance, manages office logistics such as building maintenance and equipment, and helps with organizing department meetings and events.

This role also includes supporting Human Resources functions like interviewing, hiring, orientation, and employee performance evaluations. Furthermore, handling payroll, invoices, accounts payable, and timekeeping duties are key responsibilities, requiring strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Job Duties

  • coordinate work, plans, organize, and schedules duties and responsibilities of department staff
  • provide backup support for administrative staff
  • assure training and continuing in-service training instruction is received by all staff
  • assist in preparation and maintenance of contracts and contract proposals
  • coordinate building maintenance, office equipment, purchasing, and space planning/lease
  • organize and plan department/program meetings, training, and events
  • may assist human resources with interviewing, hiring, orientation, training, performance evaluations, and maintaining employee records
  • coordinate, process, and maintain payroll, invoices, accounts payable, and develop systems and operations reports within the department
  • perform timekeeper responsibilities
