The Receptionist position at El Macero Country Club presents an excellent career opportunity for individuals passionate about customer service and hospitality. The receptionist is responsible for greeting visitors, answering phones, managing correspondence, scheduling meetings, and assisting with various clerical and operational tasks. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years administrative experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Canva
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Extremely organized, efficient and detail-oriented
  • Highly motivated, goal driven and self-starter
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to answer telephone in a professional manner
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays and extended hours during golf and holiday seasons
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 lbs occasionally
  • Ability to sit for long periods and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, stooping, kneeling or crouching
  • Ability to speak, hear and see adequately in a work environment

Job Qualifications

  • 1-2 years administrative experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Greet and act as liaison with vendors and guests
  • Prepare outgoing mail, USPS or FedEx
  • Answering and routing all incoming calls
  • Assists visitors and customers with general questions
  • Assist management with correspondence, photocopying, scanning, binding or other administrative duties as needed
  • Assist Office Manager in coordinating events
  • Document production and filing
  • Maintain office supplies
  • Determines which local markets should be canvassed for prospective members
  • Assistance with Microsoft, Excel, PowerPoint projects and Canva
  • Perform other duties assigned by supervisor or manager
  • Direct visitors and callers to the appropriate staff member utilizing employee and department directories
  • Be familiar with procedures for handling all aspects of customer inquiries, complaints, or disputes
  • Responsible for the gathering and management of data pertaining to new membership registration and keeps record up to date
  • Ensure reception area is tidy, clutter free and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g., pens, forms, and brochures)
  • Supports continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed, and in a timely manner
