Job Description

As the frontline representative of the facility, the Customer Service Representative is entrusted with managing all incoming calls and assisting visitors upon their arrival. This includes operating the switchboard and telephone systems, responding to inquiries, directing callers accurately, and answering calls in a timely and courteous manner. In person, you will be responsible for greeting visitors, providing clear directions, ensuring that all visitors and vendors sign in properly, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere at the front entrance. Your role is crucial in setting the tone for hospitality and professionalism that the facility strives to embody.

In addition to these responsibilities, the position involves various clerical duties such as assisting the facility administrator with special projects, handling mail, managing informational materials for visitors, data entry, and ordering supplies as needed. You will also be expected to maintain a tidy and organized work area that reflects the professionalism of the facility. Continuous education is an important aspect of this role; you will be required to attend in-service training programs to fulfill the facility’s educational requirements and stay current with safety procedures including Standard Precautions and Fire Drill operations.

Confidentiality and resident protection are paramount in this position. You must be vigilant in protecting residents’ personal information as well as ensuring their safety from neglect or abuse.
