This Receptionist role at Encompass Health plays a crucial part in shaping the first impression visitors and callers have when they interact with the hospital. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience operating switchboard equipment preferred
- Proficiency in computer systems and data entry
- Ability to use 10-key data entry method
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to coordinate and analyze information
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekdays, weekends, evenings, and nights
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Working knowledge of switchboard equipment preferred
- Ability to use computer systems and complete data entry is preferred
- Knowledge of 10-key data entry method preferred
- Detail-oriented with the ability to coordinate, analyze, and make decisions
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekdays, weekends, evenings, and nights as required
Job Duties
- Answer all incoming calls and route to appropriate area or individual
- Greet all visitors
- assist them in signing in and wearing badge
- Enter and scan deposits, charges, and adjustments as directed
- Run and distribute census reports each morning and at end of day
- Assist in the entry of information related to admits, discharges, and physician changes
- Scan all correspondence and any miscellaneous items
- Check all therapy charges and attach census to back of each therapist's batch
