This innovative approach allows the company to deliver personalized services that inspire confidence in clients about their financial decisions. H&R Block operates as a professional services firm specializing in tax preparation and related financial advisory services, serving millions of clients annually with a focus on accuracy, reliability, and client satisfaction.
The role of Client Service Professional/Receptionist at H&R Block is a seasonal position designed to support the tax preparation process by serving as the first point of contact for clients. This role involves greeting clients warmly, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and matching clients with the appropriate tax professionals based on their unique needs. The Client Service Professional will wear many hats, including administrative duties and client support both in-person and virtually, ensuring a smooth and positive client experience throughout the tax filing season.
This position requires excellent multitasking abilities, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in using Microsoft Office. Working in a fast-paced environment, the individual must be capable of managing client queries efficiently while maintaining the office's cleanliness and resource organization. H&R Block values a connected culture where continuous learning and relationship-building are encouraged, offering associates competitive pay within the range of $11.00 to $27.00 per hour, depending on experience and location. There is also potential participation in incentive compensation or short-term incentive plans.
Associates benefit from comprehensive programs including medical and prescription drug coverage, retirement savings plans like 401(k), employee assistance programs, access to virtual fitness centers, and associate discounts. Additionally, associates are automatically enrolled in Business Travel Accident Insurance and receive specialized benefits such as Associate Tax Prep. The company supports flexible scheduling and multiple work locations to accommodate the needs of its associates, making this role ideal for individuals seeking a dynamic work environment with opportunities for personal and professional growth.
Joining H&R Block as a Client Service Professional means contributing to a mission that goes beyond tax preparation. It’s about creating lasting impacts by helping people make confident, informed decisions about their lives, careers, and money. The role offers the chance to engage daily with clients, ensuring their needs are met with exceptional service and care.
