The position focuses on managing front desk operations and patient interactions, specifically receiving callers and patients, determining the nature of their business, logging patient arrivals, and directing patients and visitors appropriately. Additional duties include scheduling and rescheduling appointments, coordinating transportation services, and sending referral messages internally, all of which require organizational skills and attention to detail. The position mandates adherence to infection control policies and strict confidentiality concerning patient medical records, in line with state and federal laws, ensuring a safe and compliant working environment. Wearing a complete uniform and maintaining a neat appearance during working hours is also expected to uphold the professional image of Leon Medical Centers.

Job Duties
- greet all patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
- take patient pictures and input them into the system
- provide patients with information on where to go
- act as backup for incoming telephone calls
- answer all telephone inquiries professionally and courteously
- check in patients for their appointment
- communicate with other offices for patient information
- verify and complete necessary paperwork for patients
- verify that all information is correct in the computer system
- schedule patient follow-up appointments
- coordinate transportation services if needed
- call patients to remind them of appointment dates and times
- issue badges, cards, flowers, pins, etc. to patients upon arrival
- reschedule and cancel appointments as necessary
- schedule no-show appointments
- enter OTC in computer system
- process paperwork as required
- send external appointment messages to the Referral Department
- maintain open communication with other company departments
- wear complete uniform and keep a neat appearance
- perform various clerical duties
- participate in weekly line-ups
- participate in training and in-service education
- attend department, center, and company meetings
- comply with infection control policies to ensure a safe work environment
- maintain confidentiality of patient records in accordance with state and federal laws
