Job Description

Care Net Pregnancy Center of Central Texas is a faith-based organization dedicated to empowering women and families through compassionate care and support. With a mission deeply rooted in Christian values, the center provides a welcoming environment where clients can receive assistance, counseling, and resources tailored to their unique needs. The center's commitment to community service and faith-based guidance makes it a trusted resource for individuals seeking support during pregnancy and related life challenges. By fostering a culture of hospitality and grace, the center ensures every client experiences warmth and respect from their first point of contact onward.

The Receptionist role plays a pivotal part in this mission as the first impression and primary liaison between the center and its clients, visitors, and vendors. This position requires exceptional interpersonal skills, a cheerful and calm demeanor, and the ability to solve problems efficiently while maintaining professionalism and joy under pressure. This full-time role blends administrative duties with front-line client engagement, contributing significantly to the overall operational success and positive atmosphere of the center. The Receptionist is entrusted with ensuring that all guests and callers receive swift and courteous attention, thereby reinforcing the center's culture and values.

In addition to greeting and assisting visitors, the Receptionist manages the center’s phone system, schedules appointments, monitors attendance, and supports the Client Services team. The role involves maintaining a clean and organized environment both in shared common areas and operational workspaces, which is vital to projecting the center’s inviting and professional image. Regular duties also include handling mail, supplies, and maintaining inventory for communal areas, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

A unique aspect of this position is its requirement for alignment with the center's religious values, including an active faith life and agreement with the organization’s Statement of Faith. Candidates must exhibit a personal relationship with God, demonstrated through their lifestyle and interaction with others, and regularly participate in a faith community that shares these beliefs. This integration of spiritual commitment with job responsibilities is central to the center’s approach to service.

This opportunity is ideal for individuals who are highly organized, self-motivated, dependable, and possess strong communication skills in both English and Spanish. Intermediate proficiency with technology, including phone systems, computers, database entry, and Microsoft Office, is essential. Candidates should be capable of working independently with minimal supervision and maintain professionalism even in high-pressure situations. This role offers a meaningful way to combine administrative expertise with faith-driven service, making a tangible difference in the lives of clients and the broader community.
