As part of the Baylor Scott & White Health system, this facility benefits from the resources and innovations of one of Texas’ largest and most trusted healthcare providers.

The Medical Receptionist role within this dynamic setting is a vital part-time, PRN (as needed) position that offers a competitive wage of $17.50 per hour. This position is ideal for individuals who are motivated, organized, and possess strong interpersonal skills for interacting with patients, visitors, and staff in a fast-paced healthcare environment. As a hub of communication and coordination, the Medical Receptionist supports daily hospital operations by assisting with admissions, directing calls, performing overhead paging, and notifying nursing staff about patient gifts and visitor requests.

Beyond the administrative responsibilities, this role requires attentiveness to the patient experience, including providing wheelchairs for patients and monitoring lobby and parking area activity to report any unusual behavior to facilities staff. Additionally, the Medical Receptionist manages mail services, including postmarking outgoing mail, distributing incoming mail, and logging job applications. This position requires flexible availability to cover for the Admissions Coordinator during breaks, making reliability and adaptability crucial traits.

There are also opportunities for career advancement by demonstrating skills and dedication, potentially leading to full-time employment opportunities. Employees benefit from programs supporting their financial, work-life, and emotional well-being. Part-time and per diem staff are eligible for 401k plans upon reaching 1,000 hours within their first year or subsequent calendar years and can access employee assistance programs to support personal and professional challenges.
