Job Description
CommonSpirit Health is a prominent healthcare organization that came into existence through the alignment of Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health, two well-respected entities in the healthcare industry. With a robust network of more than 700 care sites spread across the United States, including clinics, hospitals, home-based care, and virtual care services, CommonSpirit Health plays a critical role in providing accessible and compassionate care to nearly one out of every four residents in the U.S. The organization is deeply committed to building healthy communities, advocating for those who are poor and vulnerable, and continuously innovating healthcare delivery both within hospital walls and through community outreach. These efforts are fueled by a mission to bring compassion where it is needed most, protecting families, supporting communities, and fostering environments conducive to healing.
Working as a Receptionist at CommonSpirit Health means being an essential frontline ambassador of the organization's values and mission. The receptionist role requires a professional, reliable, and compassionate individual who embodies the organization's welcoming spirit. This position offers an opportunity to work in a diverse, dynamic environment where creating a positive and supportive atmosphere is crucial to the well-being of visitors, clients, and staff. The Receptionist will be the primary point of contact for people seeking services or information, making the first impression count by providing excellent customer service with empathy and care.
This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in environments that demand situational awareness, empathy, and a proactive approach. The receptionist contributes significantly to maintaining a calm and supportive environment, which is vital in a healthcare setting, especially one that involves sensitive behavioral health aspects. Key responsibilities will include greeting and checking in visitors, answering and directing phone calls, managing light clerical tasks such as filing and data entry, and ensuring that the reception area is always clean, organized, and welcoming. By performing these duties efficiently and graciously, the Receptionist will support the organization's mission and enhance the experience of everyone who interacts with CommonSpirit Health.
This is not only a front desk job but a position that requires a heart for service, excellent interpersonal skills, and dedication to fostering a caring, inclusive atmosphere. With the organization's vast reach and commitment to community health, the Receptionist plays a pivotal role in connecting people to the care and resources they need, setting the tone for their entire experience. This role offers the chance to be part of an esteemed healthcare organization making a difference in millions of lives every day.
