Job Description
The Pennant Group, Inc. is a respected holding company managing a diverse portfolio of independent operating subsidiaries that offer healthcare services across the United States. These subsidiaries specialize in home health care, hospice services, and senior living communities. Each subsidiary operates autonomously with its own management, workforce, and assets, allowing them to focus on specialized care tailored for the communities they serve. The Pennant Group prides itself on fostering a compassionate environment that prioritizes the well-being of patients, residents, and their families. Committed to excellence and integrity, the company emphasizes strong core values that drive its mission and ensure high standards of service in healthcare.
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Receptionist to join our team of caring professionals. The Receptionist role is vital as the first point of contact for visitors, patients, residents, their families, and staff members. This full-time position requires a warm, pleasant, and professional demeanor, reflecting the welcoming culture of our organization. The ideal candidate will share our CAPLICO core values, which include Celebration, Accountability, Passion for Learning, Love One Another, Intelligent Risk Taking, Customer Second (Employee First), and Ownership. These values underpin our commitment to quality care and employee satisfaction.
The Receptionist will be responsible for managing the reception area with poise and efficiency, ensuring it remains clean, neat, and inviting at all times. This position involves answering all incoming calls—both internal and external—with courtesy and professionalism, handling paging and telephone systems, taking detailed messages, and ensuring timely communication to the intended recipients. Greeting visitors warmly, providing knowledgeable assistance about the services offered, and directing them appropriately is essential to create a positive first impression.
Additional responsibilities include sorting and distributing incoming mail and preparing outgoing mail for pickup. The Receptionist must maintain up-to-date knowledge of the organization's services to assist residents, staff, and visitors effectively. The role also involves administrative tasks and may require seeking additional administrative support when necessary. Proficiency with office equipment such as computers, copiers, postage meters, fax machines, intercoms, and telephone systems is a must. Comfort and capability in learning new computer systems, word processing, spreadsheets, and email applications are also essential for success in this role.
Working as a Receptionist within The Pennant Group enables you to be part of a team that is making a meaningful difference in healthcare. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for supporting both the community we serve and our internal team members. We value diversity and are proud to be an equal opportunity employer, welcoming applicants regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic. If you resonate with our core values, possess the necessary skills, and are eager to make a positive impact, we encourage you to apply and join our compassionate, professional team.
