The Pennant Group is currently seeking a Receptionist to join their dedicated team. This role is a vital part of the organization, serving as the warm and professional first point of contact for patients, residents, families, visitors, and staff. As a Receptionist, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and pleasant reception area, greeting visitors with professionalism and warmth, and managing communications through phones and paging systems. The role also includes handling mail distribution and supporting administrative functions by taking detailed messages and ensuring they are promptly relayed to the correct personnel. You will be instrumental in providing a seamless and positive experience to all who come through the doors, reflecting the high standards and ethical values cherished by The Pennant Group.

Candidates for this role should be comfortable using computers and various office equipment, including copiers, fax machines, and postage meters, while also being open to learning new software systems related to word processing, spreadsheets, and email communication. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, alongside strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.

Job Duties

  • Welcomes visitors and answers incoming calls in a warm, pleasant, and professional manner
  • Maintains a clean and neat reception area
  • Provides a welcoming environment for residents, staff, and all visitors
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of the services provided
  • Greets visitors courteously and directs them to the appropriate area or personnel
  • Operates paging and telephone system as required
  • Takes detailed messages and ensures messages are relayed promptly
  • Prepares outgoing mail for pickup
  • Sorts and distributes incoming mail to departments
