The hiring organization is a well-established community-focused entity that prioritizes excellent customer service and community engagement. This company is committed to creating a welcoming and efficient environment for both residents and visitors by streamlining front desk operations and ensuring smooth communication channels. As a part-time employer, the company offers a respectful and supportive workplace, focusing on the professional growth and personal well-being of its employees. The setting involves direct interaction with diverse individuals, making it an ideal opportunity for candidates who enjoy dynamic interpersonal engagement and multitasking in a structured environment. The role operates primarily during the daytime on weekdays, accompanied by weekend responsibilities, tailored to individuals seeking part-time employment with consistent scheduling and potential additional work opportunities in other roles or fill-in shifts.

The Receptionist position available is essential to the daily function of the community's front desk and overall visitor experience. The Receptionist will be responsible for managing front desk activities including answering phones, responding to emails, monitoring nurse call lights, handling mail and packages, and serving as the initial point of contact for residents and visitors. This role requires a candidate who possesses exceptional organizational skills, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure while maintaining professionalism. The candidate will work Sunday through Thursday from 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM with possible extensions to 4:30 PM, including required weekend availability and holiday shifts as needed. This position reports to both the Staffing Director and Executive Director, enabling clear communication channels and alignment with the organization’s goals and standards.

The Receptionist is expected to exhibit a positive attitude and enthusiasm for the position, contributing to a warm and inviting atmosphere for all community members. Core responsibilities include assisting with clerical projects, guiding visitors and escorts safely to residents’ rooms, taking and entering staff food orders, and helping maintain cleanliness in various communal areas such as the lobby and bistro. Additionally, this role involves assisting with plant care in key communal spaces, reinforcing the community’s commitment to a pleasant and nurturing environment. Candidates must be capable of handling physical demands such as lifting over 50 pounds and standing or walking for extended periods throughout the shift.

This role offers a competitive pay rate starting at $18.00 per hour and provides a typical workload of 16 to 24 hours per week, with the flexibility of additional hours if desired. The community values work-life balance, demonstrated by its structured scheduling and clear expectations.
