Job Description
Cushman & Wakefield is a leading global real estate services firm specializing in commercial property management, advisory, and workplace solutions. With a commitment to innovation and client service, Cushman & Wakefield provides a broad range of services across various sectors including office, retail, industrial, and multifamily properties. The company is known for its collaborative approach, leveraging local expertise and global reach to deliver customized solutions that enhance the value of real estate assets and improve workplace environments.
The Receptionist position at Cushman & Wakefield is a vital role within the onsite account team, serving as the primary point of contact for employees, guests, and visitors. This role is pivotal in shaping a positive and professional workplace experience daily. The Receptionist is responsible for greeting all workplace entrants warmly and professionally, managing communications through phone, email, and messaging platforms, and supporting a variety of workplace operations. This role demands a collaborative, service-oriented professional who is adept at balancing multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a cordial and welcoming demeanor.
In this position, the Receptionist will handle front-of-house responsibilities that include welcoming employees, executives, vendors, and visitors; managing visitor check-in processes; supporting high-profile meetings and events; coordinating catering and room setups; and maintaining the overall appearance and readiness of the front desk area. The role also involves close collaboration with security teams to ensure safety and protocol adherence, as well as assisting in logistical tasks such as mail handling, shipping coordination, and luggage management. Proficiency in workplace technologies and communication tools such as Google Workspace, Slack, and ticket management systems like Jira is essential to perform these duties effectively.
Candidates must demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to navigate a fast-paced environment while managing competing priorities with professionalism and ease. The position requires a high degree of discretion, accountability, and integrity, especially when dealing with executive-level clients and VIP guests. Cushman & Wakefield values a polished, approachable presence and expects the Receptionist to project a professional image at all times.
The company offers a competitive compensation package for this role with wages ranging from $25.36 to $29.84 per hour, reflecting factors such as geographic location, experience, and qualifications. Cushman & Wakefield is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion, providing accommodations as necessary under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Eligible employees benefit from a comprehensive suite of health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plans, paid time off, and other valuable programs.
This role is well-suited for individuals with a minimum of a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of related front-of-house or customer service experience. Preference is given to candidates with college education or relevant training. The Receptionist will thrive in this role by maintaining a "can do" attitude, demonstrating adaptability, and actively contributing to the smooth operation and positive culture of the workplace environment.
