The hiring establishment is a retail store operating within the Store Administration department, managed directly by the Branch Manager. Additionally, the receptionist facilitates membership management by confirming memberships, issuing temporary membership cards, and occasionally processing new memberships using computer systems.
In this role, managing communication flows is also essential. The receptionist takes and retrieves messages for various personnel and provides callers with vital company information such as addresses, directions, fax numbers, and website details. Handling mail is another vital function, including receiving, sorting, and forwarding mail, as well as coordinating express mail pickup and delivery with carriers like FedEx and UPS.
Further responsibilities involve managing returned merchandise by coordinating with department heads for proper processing, demonstrating the role’s wide-ranging impact across store operations. The receptionist may also perform additional clerical tasks including photocopying, faxing, filing, and collating, adding an important layer of administrative support.

Job Duties
- Answers the telephone and directs the caller to the appropriate associate
- Transfers a caller to an associate's voice mailbox when the associate is unavailable
- Greets and directs visitors
- Confirms membership, issues temporary membership cards, and occasionally process new memberships on computer
- Takes and retrieves messages for various personnel
- Provides callers with company information such as address, directions, fax numbers, and website
- Receives, sorts and forwards incoming mail
- Coordinates the pick-up and delivery of express mail services like FedEx and UPS
- Receives returned merchandise and contacts department head for proper processing
- Assists with clerical duties such as photocopying, faxing, filing and collating
- Performs other work-related duties as required and assigned
