Job Description

Canterbury Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is a distinguished 190-bed Sub-Acute and Long-Term Care facility dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care to its residents. Located in a welcoming and beautifully designed environment, Canterbury offers a home-like atmosphere that promotes comfort and well-being for both residents and staff. The facility is committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive workplace culture where employees are respected, valued, and encouraged to contribute meaningfully to the organization’s mission. As part of this vibrant community, team members benefit from a collaborative environment that prioritizes professional growth, work-life balance, and a culture of appreciation and support.

We are currently seeking a part-time Receptionist to join our dedicated team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about supporting office operations within a healthcare setting, while working in a team-oriented environment. The position is scheduled for every other weekend from 2 PM to 10 PM, with a competitive pay rate of $14 per hour and the advantage of same-day pay. The Receptionist will play a vital role in ensuring smooth office operations by managing communication, coordinating activities, supporting foundational bookkeeping, and maintaining organized records. This role is integral to supporting the healthcare center’s administration and enhancing the overall efficiency of the office.

The Receptionist will be responsible for coordinating various office activities and operations, including managing phone calls and correspondence such as emails, letters, and packages. In addition, tracking office supplies and placing orders when necessary will help maintain the smooth flow of materials required for daily functions. This role involves submitting timely reports, sorting mail, assisting colleagues as needed, and generally contributing towards a well-maintained office environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as the Receptionist will be the point of contact for internal and external communication channels.

Ideal candidates will have proven experience in a similar position and demonstrate outstanding organizational and leadership skills. Familiarity with office management procedures and basic accounting principles will be beneficial in supporting bookkeeping tasks, alongside proficiency in MS Office software, including Excel. A high school diploma is required, while candidates holding a BSc/BA in office administration or a related field will be preferred.

Joining Canterbury Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center means becoming part of a community that values equality and diversity. The facility is proud to provide equal employment opportunities and uphold an environment free of discrimination and harassment based on race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic.
