Job Description
The Children’s Center Utah is a distinguished nonprofit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive mental health care services for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and their families. The Children’s Center Utah is currently seeking a friendly and professional Receptionist to join its team at the new Lehi, Utah office. This role is vital in facilitating seamless administrative support and clerical duties at the front desk. To ensure a smooth transition, the selected individual will undergo training for a couple of weeks at the West Valley City office before moving to the Lehi location upon its opening. This position is ideal for individuals who are organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about making a difference in an environment dedicated to child and family mental health.
As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and volunteers, playing a crucial role in shaping their experience at The Children’s Center Utah. The role involves answering multi-line telephone systems, greeting and checking in clients, and scheduling appointments for multiple clinicians. You will be responsible for creating and updating client records, managing electronic medical records, and ensuring that clinical information is systematically organized for easy access by the clinical staff. Additionally, you will assist with preparing and sending information to other agencies as per the center’s procedures, helping with intake information updates, and supporting the Medical Records Clerk when necessary. The receptionist functions as a key liaison facilitating smooth communication and operational efficiency between front office staff and clinical teams.
This full-time position is onsite Monday through Friday during regular office hours. Compensation ranges from $17 to $18 per hour, depending on experience and bilingual communication skills, with a strong preference for candidates proficient in both English and Spanish. Job Requirements
- Minimum one year of reception experience working with multi-line phones preferred
- prior experience working in a medical office with electronic medical records system preferred
- strong computer skills in Microsoft Office and Excel
- excellent customer service skills
- dependable, organized, with a friendly and professional personality
- basic knowledge of office machines such as copiers and printers
- detail oriented with the ability to multi-task
- bilingual (English/Spanish) communication strongly preferred

Job Duties
- Answer multi-line telephone

- open building in the morning or secure building at night
