The position of Receptionist at Spring Lake Village is a full-time role, offering competitive pay ranging from $22.57 to $26.00 per hour along with comprehensive benefits. This role is pivotal in ensuring smooth communication and coordination within the community. The Receptionist acts as the first point of contact, receiving callers and visitors, determining the nature of their business, and directing them appropriately. Beyond managing communications, the Receptionist is responsible for maintaining accurate records of calls and messages, handling clerical duties, and providing outstanding customer service to residents, families, co-workers, and vendors. This position requires proficiency in using multi-line telephone systems, managing visitor screenings, and occasionally handling financial transactions such as cashing checks and selling meal tickets.

Safety and compliance are core to the Receptionist's responsibilities at Spring Lake Village. The receptionist monitors fire alarms, coordinates emergency responses by calling 911 if necessary, and ensures the security of keys for residents and staff. The role also involves supporting various departments including Executive Director, Marketing, Accounting, and Activities by managing projects and clerical tasks. The Receptionist must adhere to all facility policies and participate in mandatory training, emphasizing Front Porch's commitment to workplace safety and accident prevention. Job Duties

  • Provides quality customer service efficiently to residents, families, co-workers and vendors in a manner to ensure satisfaction
  • directs caller to destination and records name, time of call, nature of business, and person called upon
  • takes messages accurately including correct spelling of names and phone number
  • operates multi-line telephone console to receive incoming messages
  • greet incoming visitors, screen visitors in lobby if unfamiliar
  • proficiency with multi-line telephones, telephone head set, calculator, fax machine, postal machine and copy machine
  • may cash checks
  • sell stamps, bill residents for meal charges by entering data on computer system
  • may sell meal tickets to employees and issues visitors pass when required
  • may make guest room reservations
  • monitor fire alarms, call 911 if applicable and direct emergency personnel
  • keep track of keys to residents, employees and vendors
  • performs variety of clerical duties, which may include various projects for the Executive Director, Marketing, Accounting and Activity Departments
  • performs all duties in a safe and efficient manner
  • reports any safety hazards and/or accidents to supervisor
  • attends all mandatory in-service meetings
  • complies with all department and facilities policies and procedures
  • follow safe work habits in order to prevent injuries to themselves, residents, visitors or other employees
