Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • previous administrative support experience
  • working knowledge of PC functions and Microsoft Office
  • good customer service, telephone and verbal communication skills
  • ability to manage multiple tasks
  • typing speed of 40-45 WPM
  • good verbal and written communication skills
  • prior experience in a health care setting preferred
  • strong organizational skills
  • multi-task oriented
  • tolerant of frequent interruptions

Job Duties

  • Receives guests, ascertains needs, and directs guests appropriately
  • courteously answers the phone, directs to appropriate party, and takes accurate messages
  • answers routine questions regarding departmental policies, operations and procedures
  • schedules facility meetings with residents and families
  • contacts patients after discharge from facility at appropriate settings
  • assists Business Office with entering invoices for payment
  • maintains schedule and cost accounting for Beauty Salon
  • completes assignments of special projects by designated deadlines
  • monitors individuals in lobby area ensuring resident safety
  • performs other duties as assigned
