Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in customer service or public assistance preferred

Job Duties

  • Meet and greet customers and assist with application process including online and paper forms
  • ensure lobby equipment and forms are operationally available throughout the day
  • answer general inquiries related to program requirements, application processing, case status, and benefit information
  • log customers into computer-based system for data collection and customer service resolution and escalate complex inquiries
  • educate customers on community partners and ACCESS Account benefits including account setup and password resets
  • assist customers with referrals to other agencies and community resources
  • monitor lobby traffic and notify supervisor of any issues
  • complete client registration clearances as needed
  • request additional information or verification required for eligibility
  • ensure electronic case records are documented thoroughly and properly
  • process incoming and outgoing mail and scan documents into electronic files
  • perform special work assignments and related duties
  • maintain and develop professional knowledge by participating in training and meetings
