First American’s Direct division specifically provides comprehensive title insurance and settlement services, reflecting the company’s enduring expertise and trustworthiness in the real estate industry.
The role offered is an entry-level position within the Direct division, focused on providing essential administrative and receptionist support in an office environment. The position requires greeting and directing visitors, operating a multi-line telephone system to manage incoming calls, and effectively directing callers to the appropriate personnel. The role also involves monitoring visitor access, issuing visitor passes, and potentially managing appointment calendars. Additionally, the employee may assist with ordering, receiving, and maintaining office supplies and equipment, sorting and routing mail, and providing support to other departments by gathering, checking, and preparing documents, maintaining accounts, scheduling appointments, and assembling packages. This role is essential for ensuring smooth office operations and maintaining a positive experience for guests and internal staff alike.
The position demands proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, the ability to comprehend and interpret various documents such as safety guidelines and procedure manuals, and the capability to write routine reports and correspondences. Strong communication skills are essential, including the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees and respond promptly to customer needs, service requests, and commitments. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent education and preferably some experience dealing with the general public or working in an office setting.
First American offers a vibrant, people-first culture where each employee is encouraged to bring their full, unique self to work. The company supports employee growth, diversity, and inclusion, promoting an environment where all individuals can thrive personally and professionally. The employer is an equal opportunity organization that considers all qualified applicants, including those with arrest or conviction records in compliance with applicable fair chance employment laws. Comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, 401k, paid time off, paid sick leave, and an employee stock purchase plan, are available to eligible employees. This opportunity is suited for detail-oriented, customer-focused individuals seeking to begin or advance their careers in a reputable, people-centered company within the real estate services industry.
