The organization is committed to fostering an environment where innovative healthcare solutions support patients, employees, and the broader community, ensuring well-rounded and accessible care. Sanford Health emphasizes a patient-centered approach where compassionate care meets cutting-edge medical practices to improve health outcomes across diverse populations.
As a well-established leader in rural healthcare, Sanford Health offers a variety of employment opportunities designed to accommodate different schedules and needs. The current opening is for a position that involves welcoming and assisting visitors, patients, and employees at the health facilities. This role is vital in maintaining a positive environment that reflects Sanford Health's commitment to exceptional service and operational efficiency. The position offers a salary ranging from $15.00 to $22.50 per hour, depending on experience and location, and it operates with variable work shifts across the United States. The job is non-union and allows employees to gain valuable experience working within an extensive health system.
This role focuses on front-desk operations including greeting individuals as they enter the facility, identifying the nature and purpose of their visit, and facilitating their orientation by providing precise directions or escorts to specific departments. Responsibilities also include addressing inquiries from the public, patients, and staff, offering clear and knowledgeable information about the facility's layout, department functions, and scheduled activities. The position may require scheduling appointments and maintaining up-to-date appointment calendars, ensuring the smooth management of time and resources within the department. Additionally, duties could extend to administrative tasks such as managing staff vacation schedules, handling mail and courier deliveries, and distributing messages within the facility.
Candidates for this position are expected to bring a high school diploma or equivalent along with a minimum of one year of applicable experience, preferably in a healthcare or customer service setting. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification might be necessary depending on the location or setting and should be obtained within 60 days of hire if not already possessed. The role demands excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
