Our client is a reputable post-acute care facility committed to delivering high-quality healthcare services in a professional and welcoming environment. Known for its dedication to patient care and community well-being, the facility operates under strict compliance with healthcare regulations, ensuring a safe and supportive atmosphere for both patients and staff. This part-time Receptionist position offers a flexible schedule with shifts on Thursday from 3 pm to 7 pm, Friday from 7:30 am to 3 pm, and Sunday from 9 am to 5 pm. This role is ideal for individuals seeking to contribute to healthcare administration by providing essential clerical support and serving as the first point of contact for visitors and callers. The Receptionist plays a critical role in upholding the standards of the facility through effective communication, professional demeanor, and adherence to established policies.
In this role, the Receptionist efficiently performs a variety of clerical duties that support the operations of the healthcare facility. As the initial greeter for all visitors, both in-person and on the phone, the Receptionist ensures that all interactions are handled with professionalism and warmth, setting a positive tone for the care environment. The position requires proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email to manage communications and documentation effectively. The Receptionist must also have the ability to make independent decisions when necessary, demonstrating sound judgment in alignment with the facility's policies and the regulatory framework governing post-acute care settings.
The role includes responsibilities such as managing phone and paging systems, assisting in patient evacuations during emergencies, and maintaining confidentiality regarding proprietary and sensitive information. The Receptionist is expected to uphold patient rights, safety, and sanitation standards and foster professional relationships with colleagues and external vendors. A commitment to following company policies, including harassment and compliance procedures, is essential, as is adherence to the organization's Code of Conduct. The successful candidate will exhibit reliability with dependable attendance and the capacity to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
This opportunity is suited for individuals who have a high school diploma or equivalent, with additional preference given to those having completed a secretarial science program or possessing at least six months of clerical experience. The position requires the ability to perform physical tasks such as sitting, standing, bending, and lifting intermittently during working hours, and excellent communication skills in English. This part-time receptionist role offers a meaningful chance to contribute to a vital healthcare facility while balancing work with personal commitments. Candidates will join an organization that values integrity, professionalism, and continuous improvement in patient care and administrative excellence.
