The role available is for a Receptionist, a critical position that serves as the first point of contact for visitors and callers. This position requires a flexible schedule with shifts primarily during the day, and the willingness to pick up extra shifts as needed to support the facility's operational demands. The receptionist is responsible for delivering excellent customer service, managing clerical duties efficiently, and supporting the facility's communications system. As a Receptionist, you will utilize your organizational skills to maintain smooth front-desk operations, assist in emergency evacuations, and support interdisciplinary teams through effective communication. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email is required to manage the clerical responsibilities, alongside the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances require.

Job Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • completed a secretarial science program or six months clerical experience
  • proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
  • ability to make independent decisions

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • successfully completed a secretarial science program from an accredited college or university or have a minimum of six months experience in a clerical role
  • proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
  • knowledgeable of post-acute care facility practices, procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines
  • ability to make independent decisions when warranted
  • ability to implement and interpret department programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures
  • perform proficiently in competency areas such as patient rights, safety, and sanitation
  • maintain professional working relationships with associates and vendors
  • maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and confidential information
  • understand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance procedures
  • display integrity and professionalism adhering to the Code of Conduct

Job Duties

  • Serve as the first point of contact for guests and visitors in person and via phone
  • operate the facility phone and paging system effectively
  • exhibit excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude towards patients
  • assist in the evacuation of patients
