Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- completed a secretarial science program or six months clerical experience
- proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
- ability to make independent decisions
- knowledge of laws and guidelines governing post acute care
- ability to implement department policies
- perform competency areas including patient rights, safety, sanitation
- maintain professional relationships
- maintain confidentiality
- follow company policies and compliance procedures
- adhere to the Code of Conduct
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- successfully completed a secretarial science program from an accredited college or university or have a minimum of six months experience in a clerical role
- proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
- knowledgeable of post-acute care facility practices, procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines
- ability to make independent decisions when warranted
- ability to implement and interpret department programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures
- perform proficiently in competency areas such as patient rights, safety, and sanitation
- maintain professional working relationships with associates and vendors
- maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and confidential information
- understand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance procedures
- display integrity and professionalism adhering to the Code of Conduct
Job Duties
- Serve as the first point of contact for guests and visitors in person and via phone
- operate the facility phone and paging system effectively
- exhibit excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude towards patients
- assist in the evacuation of patients
- demonstrate dependable and regular attendance
- use reasoning skills and good judgment to concentrate on tasks
- communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team
- perform physical activities such as sitting, standing, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, walking, reaching, and moving intermittently during working hours
- read, write, speak, and understand the English language
