Focused on delivering exceptional patient care, Sylvan Surgery Center is dedicated to creating a seamless and comforting experience for patients and their families. The center’s commitment to quality extends beyond clinical excellence; it encompasses a patient-centric approach that prioritizes safety, efficiency, and personalized attention throughout the surgical journey.

As part of the United Surgical Partners International (USPI) network, Sylvan Surgery Center benefits from a nationwide leadership position in outpatient surgical services. USPI partners with physicians and healthcare systems to provide innovative, ambulatory solutions that improve surgical care across the United States. The organization prides itself on fostering an inclusive culture that respects diversity and supports contributions from every member of its workforce to better meet the needs of patients and physicians alike.

The Front Office Receptionist at Sylvan Surgery Center plays a critical role in patient engagement and administrative operations. Under the general supervision of the Office Manager, this position serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming environment and smooth communication flow. Responsibilities include greeting patients and their families, managing incoming calls, verifying insurance information, handling cash collections, and ensuring the accurate management of patient charts. This role requires excellent clerical skills, organizational ability, and the professionalism necessary to interact with a diverse patient population, including those who may be under stress or distressed.

The ideal candidate for the Front Office Receptionist position will have a minimum of a high school diploma or an equivalent qualification, with preference given to those with prior clerical experience in hospital or ambulatory surgery center settings. Competence with basic office equipment such as computers, printers, telephones, and fax machines is essential. Additionally, the ability to communicate effectively and maintain composure in challenging interactions is paramount. Salary for this role ranges from $24.00 to $26.00 per hour, based on years of relevant experience.

Sylvan Surgery Center, supported by USPI, offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to promote the health and well-being of its employees. This includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, prescription drug benefits, life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance, access to short- and long-term disability plans, and financial flexibility through FSAs and HSAs. Employees can also take advantage of a 401(k) retirement plan, paid holidays, and vacation time. These benefits underscore the organization's commitment to care not only for its patients but also for its workforce, creating a supportive and rewarding workplace environment.
