Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in customer service or administrative roles preferred
- ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- proficiency in operating telephone and paging systems
- strong interpersonal skills
- ability to maintain confidentiality
- physical capability to perform duties including standing or walking for extended periods
- commitment to facility policies and resident care standards

- Organized and detailed in work performance
- good communication skills with excellent self-discipline and patience
- genuine caring and interest in elderly and disabled people in a nursing facility
- comply with residents' rights and facility policies and procedures
- perform essential duties as outlined
- familiarity with safety and confidentiality requirements
Job Duties
- Manage the telephone and switchboard
- operate paging and telephone systems as required
- answer calls promptly and courteously
- direct calls accurately
- assist visitors upon arrival by greeting them courteously
- provide directions or contact staff for visitors
- ensure all visitors and vendors sign in
- demonstrate customer service skills via phone and in person including smiling and greeting effectively
- maintain a neat and orderly work area
- perform other clerical duties such as mail handling, filing, preparing informational packets, ordering supplies
- assist with administrative duties including data entry and posting accounts
- attend in-service education programs
- maintain awareness of safety procedures and confidentiality
- protect residents from neglect and abuse
- perform additional tasks as directed by supervisor or administrator
