Job Description

In this role, Covenant Living is looking to hire a Receptionist who will serve as the welcoming face and voice of the community. The Receptionist plays a critical role in creating a positive first impression for residents, staff, visitors, and contractors by providing courteous, professional, and efficient reception services. This position involves greeting individuals in a warm and friendly manner, answering telephone calls promptly, directing visitors appropriately, managing communications, monitoring emergency systems, and providing clerical support where needed. The Receptionist is a key point of contact who ensures that all visitors are properly registered and that the lobby and reception areas are maintained in an organized and clean state.

Moreover, the Receptionist often works closely with various departments, including Skilled Nursing and Healthcare Administration, supporting them in clerical tasks and facilitating coordination, such as transportation scheduling and maintenance requests. This role demands excellent organizational abilities, attention to detail, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the capacity to remain calm and professional, especially during emergencies. The ideal candidate will have a high school education or equivalent, combined with at least one year of secretarial training or clerical experience. A pleasant personality, good telephone etiquette, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite are essential. Candidates should also have a genuine interest in working with older adults and be committed to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

This opportunity offers competitive hourly compensation ranging from $13.66 to $17.76, depending on qualifications, experience, and location. Job Duties

  • Greet all visitors in a professional and courteous manner
  • answer all telephone calls promptly and politely
  • transfer calls appropriately and take messages
  • monitor emergency system and direct staff to emergent situations
  • provide information to visitors and ensure proper sign-in and badge wearing
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of reception desk and lobby
  • assist with scheduling follow-up appointments and transportation coordination
  • process vendor invoices through WorkDay
  • assist residents in signing up for programs and activities
  • demonstrate knowledge of office equipment and report supply needs
  • receive, sort, and log mail and packages
  • facilitate and input maintenance requests
  • support Skilled Nursing team and other departments with clerical duties as assigned
