Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • previous experience in an administrative or receptionist role preferred
  • student experience in higher education considered
  • proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office applications
  • customer service experience or aptitude required
  • effective communication skills

Job Duties

  • Manages incoming calls and supports administrative staff
  • maintains a professional front-facing presence for the hospital
  • answers and transfers telephone calls promptly and professionally
  • assists coworkers with preparing documents using Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Windows-based systems
  • provides administrative support to leadership team for various projects and tasks
  • maintains professional demeanor and appearance when interacting with board members, medical staff, visitors, and community
  • stays organized and carries out responsibilities independently, exercising sound judgment and analytical thinking
  • demonstrates a positive, team-oriented attitude and strong interpersonal communication skills
  • works independently and uses downtime productively
  • performs other duties as assigned
