Job Description

Penske Toyota is a reputable automotive dealership known for its commitment to quality service and customer satisfaction. As part of the larger Penske Automotive Group, Penske Toyota operates with a strong focus on professionalism, integrity, and community engagement. The dealership provides a wide selection of new and pre-owned vehicles, alongside comprehensive maintenance and repair services, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for every customer. The company values its employees and fosters a collaborative work environment where dedication and growth are encouraged. Penske Toyota is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and maintains a drug and alcohol-free workplace, upholding high standards of workplace safety and professionalism.

The role available is a full-time Receptionist position, which is 100% on-site and offers an hourly wage of $16.90. The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for all incoming calls at the dealership, responsible for answering within three rings using the prescribed Penske-approved script. This position demands excellent communication skills and a positive attitude to ensure every caller receives a professional and friendly experience. The Receptionist must efficiently transfer calls to the appropriate personnel or extensions and handle general sales inquiries by directing them to the correct department or individual such as the Business Development Center (BDC) or Sales Manager. An important aspect of the job is logging all sales-related calls accurately and tracking them following dealership standards.

In addition to call management, the Receptionist is tasked with maintaining a professional personal appearance and keeping the workspace tidy and organized. The job involves logging incoming packages, such as FedEx and UPS deliveries, and promptly notifying recipients. The Receptionist also coordinates receipt of postal mail with the General Manager or their designee. Occasionally, the role includes assisting with administrative tasks as assigned and approved by management, reflecting the need for versatility and teamwork within the dealership.

The ideal candidate will possess strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, complemented by excellent time management and problem-solving skills. The ability to multitask, establish priorities, and work both independently and collaboratively is crucial. The Receptionist must be detail-oriented and capable of working under pressure, demonstrating resilience in a dynamic work environment. Good verbal and written communication skills are essential for success in this role. Physical requirements include frequent standing, walking, use of hands, and occasional lifting of objects up to 25 pounds, emphasizing the need for stamina and physical readiness.

Overall, this role offers a tremendous opportunity for candidates seeking to join a respected automotive dealership where they can learn, advance, and build a rewarding career. With a supportive workplace culture and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and a 401(k) plan, Penske Toyota is committed to the welfare and development of its employees. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply online and become part of a team dedicated to excellence in the automotive industry.
