Job Requirements
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Reliable transportation
- Occasionally bend, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, handle objects, push/pull, and reach above shoulder level
- Frequently sit, walk, and use fine finger movements
- Occasionally lift and carry loads up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift loads between 25-50 pounds
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of two years of higher education in social sciences, education, humanities, or related fields completed or in process
- Some experience working with children in after-school programs, social services, recreation, or arts organizations is a plus
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Fluency in Spanish
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to maintain and update electronic and paper student records
Job Duties
- Lead front desk operations across Main Street and Depot at Santiago, maintaining a welcoming, organized, and secure environment for students, families, and visitors
- Manage entry and support services, including sign-in procedures, visitor assistance, and proactively addressing needs in real time
- Support daily operations and events by managing attendance, maintaining accurate records, and handling administrative tasks
- Supervise and engage students, fostering a culture of respect, accountability, and community while modeling expectations and building trust-based relationships
- Coordinate communication across students, families, staff, and external partners
- manage phone systems, route calls, and ensure timely message delivery
- Demonstrate adaptability and initiative, stepping in where needed and using downtime to strengthen program readiness, student engagement, and the overall environment
- Assist with the execution of special events and activities as requested
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the smooth operation of all programs and services offered by The Wooden Floor
