The Receptionist plays a crucial role in the daily operations of the hospital by serving as the first point of contact for visitors, patients, and staff. This role involves greeting visitors warmly and professionally, answering phone calls efficiently, and performing general clerical tasks that support patient care and hospital staff needs. The Receptionist is pivotal in maintaining a calm and welcoming reception area that contributes to a positive experience for all who enter the hospital. In addition to administrative support, the Receptionist ensures that safety and infection prevention protocols are observed while providing a secure environment for patients, visitors, and personnel. Working Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, the Receptionist is expected to integrate the hospital's core values into daily practices, ensuring that excellence and professionalism remain at the forefront of every interaction. This position requires a high level of organizational skill, proficiency in essential computer software, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse individuals. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- one year of receptionist experience in healthcare setting preferred
- maintain acceptable driving record
- current driver's license and insurability
- proficiency in MS Office software including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- effective organizational and time management skills
- effective written and verbal communication skills
- critical thinking skills
- ability to prioritize and meet deadlines

Job Duties
- Greet visitors positively and professionally and maintain visitor registration logs
- direct patients and visitors to appropriate parties and answer basic questions
- answer telephone and correctly route calls via phone or paging system
- perform general clerical and data entry duties
- ensure reception area is maintained and clean and provide a calm environment for visitors
- communicate with appropriate staff during emergency situations and drills
- provide an environment conducive to safety for patients, visitors, and staff
- assess risks for safety and implement appropriate precautions
- comply with appropriate and approved safety and infection prevention standards
- maintain regular attendance in keeping with assigned work schedule
- complete required trainings as assigned
- perform other duties as assigned to support overall effectiveness of the organization
